career
1999–2005: debut baby v.o.x

yoon eun-hye debuted member of baby v.o.x @ age of 15, replacing ex-member (lee gai) in 1999. yoon sub-vocal in group.


after joined, group released third album come come come in 1999. album became first major success, singles “get up” , “killer” reaching number 1 spot on korean music charts. in same year, yoon became target of anti-fans. shot in eye anti-fan tried make blind mixture of soy sauce , vinegar using water gun. rushed hospital doctors confirmed cornea damaged.


yoon frequent guest on sbs s popular game show x-man 2004-2005, gaining popularity girl-warrior image on show , love-line kim jong-kook.


following fellow member shim eun-jin, yoon ended 6 years activities member of baby v.o.x in july 2005 when contract dr entertainment expired.


2006–2007: breakthrough success princess hours , coffee prince

in 2006, yoon made acting debut in romantic comedy princess hours, played ordinary girl becomes crown princess due arranged marriage crown prince. initially, fans of goong manhwa questioned acting ability, , sent out petitions against yoon lead role, requesting replaced. despite controversy, princess hours became huge success across asia , capitulated yoon korean wave stardom.


yoon made debut on big screen, starring in film legend of 7 cutter boxer. returned television leading role in vineyard man aired on kbs in july 2006. vineyard man suffered low ratings, received positive reviews heart-warming storyline , cast s performances, , rose in viewership. yoon won best actress award @ 2006 grimae awards, chosen cinematographers in every broadcasting station in korea.


in 2007, yoon took on leading role in mbc s drama 1st shop of coffee prince. played tomboy mistaken boy employer. drama huge success yoon, hailed critics actress brings colorful shade character. @ 44th baeksang arts awards, yoon beat out veteran actresses kim hee-ae , park jin-hee win coveted best actress award, becoming youngest actress ever win award. riding big success of coffee prince , goong, yoon became 1 of highest-paid actresses in industry.


2008–2011: acting criticism

in 2009, yoon starred in kbs s romantic comedy fair lady, playing arrogant, strong-headed heiress of rich business family. although fair lady moderate success, yoon harshly criticized unnatural speech , accent regression in acting skills.


yoon returned big screen after 5 years coming-of-age film black mini dress (2010), based on same titled chick lit novel kim min-seo. starred in sbs s romantic comedy series lie me (2011), playing smart government official unlucky in love department. however, both projects failed achieve commercial success.


2012–2015: directorial debut, acclaim , goddess fashion

in 2012, yoon made directorial debut short film knitting, first assignment graduate student @ chung-ang university. film screened @ 17th busan international film festival , competed in korean short film competition. screened @ 38th seoul independent film festival 1 of 5 short films in new choice category. same year, served jury ‘face of short film awards’ @ asiana international short film festival (aisff).


in late 2012, yoon starred in mbc s melo-thriller missing you, playing victim of sexual abuse. role marked turning point yoon, received critical acclaim performance. followed leading role in kbs s romantic comedy marry him if dare, played 32-year-old call center agent travels in time change future. in 2014, yoon cast alongside park si-hoo in chinese-south korean romance film after love.


in 2015, yoon made special appearance in film chronicle of blood merchant, directed ha jung-woo. joined second season of goddess fashion, chinese fashion design survival program participants have show off own created designs judges. on august 29, 2015, yoon awarded #1 in evaluation.
