after being crowned champion giants faced team of pro all-stars , all-star team consisting of nfl players including 3 players los angeles bulldogs, in exhibition game @ wrigley field in los angeles on january 15, 1939. game, giants won 13–10, first of 5 annual nfl all-star games held under format (but 1 include non-nfl players) prior creation of pro bowl in 1951.
