it group of girls find out new guardians of elements earth, fire, water, air, , energy.

part i: twelve portals

the first saga introduced world called metamoor, ruled tyrannical ruler named prince phobos. years ago, prince phobos caused disappearances of parents , took on capital city, meridian. prevent spreading tyranny, oracle lowered veil on planet, separating metamoor rest of worlds under kandrakar s protection. however, twelve portals opened between meridian , earth, creating series of passageways desperate refugees , monsters of meridian infiltrate earth. portals weaken veil , in order prevent this, generations of guardians sent protect collapsing. in present day, 5 girls chosen become new guardians: wilhelmina vandom, guardian of energy , keeper of heart, making leader; irma lair, new guardian of water; taranee cook, guardian of fire; cornelia hale, guardian of earth; , hay lin, guardian of air. together, must prevent collapse of veil , promote justice throughout universe under guidance of oracle of kandrakar.

the first saga introduced elyon brown, childhood friend of cornelia. guardians first mission close twelve portals, found out themselves, elyon had betrayed them. revealed elyon prince phobos s younger sister had disappeared meridian more decade ago. after prince phobos s right-hand man, lord cedric, revealed elyon of true alien heritage, manipulated thinking guardians enemies. guardians had find way defeat prince phobos , bring elyon home. in meridian, however, there rebellion taking place led caleb, whom cornelia had seen in dreams years. sought overthrow prince phobos , put elyon on throne, legitimate ruler. guardians later worked rebels , eventually, elyon realized mistake trusting cruel brother. prince phobos had planned absorb sister s powers himself during coronation, guardians elyon escaped , later battled against him crown. final battle successful, not without losses. prince phobos transformed caleb crystal flower, primitive form whisperer. devastated cornelia point haunt in next series. elyon crowned queen , light of meridian, world of metamoor liberated. oracle lifted veil off of metamoor , light shines on world once again. both prince phobos , cedric imprisoned in tower of mist.

part ii: nerissa s revenge

the guardians must face old enemy of candracar – nerissa, corrupted ex-guardian , previous keeper of heart. when oracle realized how immense power of heart corrupting nerissa, took away , gave cassidy, former guardian of water. obsessed lost power , blinded jealousy, nerissa tricked cassidy , killed her. punishment, nerissa stripped of magic , sentenced sleep, alone, in mount thanos eternity. when cornelia accidentally absorbed 5 elements herself, seal on nerissa s tomb broke, setting free. when caleb kidnapped, guardians must face nerissa along 4 knights of vengeance. while successful in rescue mission, lost luba sacrificed herself save them. hoping steal heart, nerissa later attacked girls through dreams in order weaken them (but failed). later successful in stealing heart tricking giving her. heart corrupted nerissa s hatred, former guardian , knights of vengeance attacked candracar. later acquired star of cassidy, copy of heart cassidy s ghost. , friends faced nerissa in candracar. in final battle, nerissa killed guardians. despite victory, cornelia heartbroken when caleb left due complicated romantic relationship.

part iii: crisis on both worlds

crisis after crisis threatens break girls once , all. s father, thomas vandom, returns life after years of absence, , intentions loving , trustful. later, taranee went on strike because felt oracle using them carry out missions , sentences. new character, orube, joins remaining guardians on new mission defeat new enemy; ari, powerful lord of arkhanta, , must prevent him rising , destroying oracle. ari s son, maqi, suffered strange disorder since birth , oracle had refused ari cure son. angered , blinded rage, ari captured banshee, named yua, , tried use wish-granting power oppose oracle , kandrakar (but not done). longer yua held prisoner , serving ari s slave, more powerful ari becomes, , soon, have enough power overthrow oracle. taranee later rejoined group , together, able defeat ari , set yua free. liberated, yua kidnapped maqi because wanted ari suffer holding imprisoned many years against will. ari , guardians followed swamp , banshee sisters live , fought them bring maqi back. however, maqi killed during confusion of battle. later saved , cured when guardians , orube offered gifts nymph xin jing him.

although mission in arkhanta successful, girls have whole bunch of new problems on earth needs attention. interpol discovers secret of guardians , wants capture them , use powers own mysterious intentions. if not enough, girls astral drops decide rebel after months of being taken advantage of guardians. astral drops started cause numerous problems between guardians families, teachers, , boyfriends , ran away city. guardians later recaptured astral drops , decided liberate them slavery.

part iv: trial of oracle

the members of congregation questioning oracle s recent actions, , shocked putting himself on trial. guardians called in recall recent unsatisfactory deeds , later found guilty endarno , banished home world, basilíade. home in heatherfield, confronted orube , matt, while principal knickerbocker goes drastic measures raise girls grades @ sheffield. in kandrakar, council has elected endarno new oracle. after endarno has been chosen, makes life of guardians difficult trying prove congregation young , immature. convinced congregation elyon, queen , light of meridian, dangerous , unfit rule on metamoor. many times tried guardians arrest old friend , bring him crown of light. w.i.t.c.h. managed hide elyon endarno smuggling earth , had orube protect her. moreover, endarno else appears be...an old enemy coming revenge , bigger thirst power. elyon , yan lin discovered endarno prince phobos s been using endarno s body in new quest power , revenge. elyon wields vital energy yan lin, gives will. guardians able locate old oracle, called himerish upon discovery of old identity before leaving kandrakar, of orube. together, tried free elyon prison , put stop cedric , phobos before endarno (phobos) formally instated oracle. in end, himerish able locate real endarno , he, in turn, revealed council endarno knew phobos in body. elyon returned power on world, cedric in tower of mist, , phobos, rather being locked in prison again, threw himself endless void of kandrakar.

part v: war against ludmoore

the 5 classical elements have in store girls: powers growing stronger , stronger. each guardian has discovered new , much, stronger magical abilities, yet elemental abilities going out of control. triumvirate of kandrakar not have full understanding it. @ same time, cedric disposed of magical strength , power , gets second chance oracle. returns ye olde book shop live decent life, under supervision guardians. nevertheless, searches useful resource regain powers in hopes of getting revenge on guardians. finds luck in book of elements, written jonathan ludmoore (which guardians later found out). century before, jonathan ludmoore alchemist came metamoor , prince phobos had sent him heatherfield in order open twelve portals. after completing mission, ludmoore discovered city place 5 elements—water, fire, earth, air, quintessence—met , stayed. experimented on elements trapped ludmoore in own book , released 5 elemental stones throughout city.

after matt swallowed book of elements (thanks cedric), guardians must cooperate cedric in order save matt. book gives them riddles clues , guardians must used these riddles scattered elemental stones. endarno warned guardians in order capture these stones, must face elemental guards stand , protect them. 1 one, girls able find stones, , in bookstore, cedric , orube fell in love. however, guardians, cedric, , orube sucked world of book when refuses surrender heart of kandrakar. cedric later killed ludmoore , dissolved ink when tried protect orube ludmoore s deadly gaze. guardians later found matt , managed defeat ludmoore once , (with matt s help). while orube mourns cedric s death s mother, susan vandom, married history teacher, dean collins. orube left , magical portal in shape of heart of kandrakar later appeared in basement of ye olde book shop .

part vi: ragorlang

when hay lin stayed on @ lyndons home, meets karl , tecla ibsen, elderly couple appeared have connection eric s new school. karl tells hay lin ragorlang, monster absorbs thoughts, voices, , sounds of victims. coincidentally, few students @ eric s school getting inactive if had lost youthful strength. same evening, hay lin gets attacked ragorlang , saved in time other guardians. discover s behind new threat: tecla ibsen. wanted young , beautiful again , used magical ability conjure , control ragorlangs, ordering them steal youthful strength of teenagers absorbing thoughts , voices. guardians managed defeat , ragorlang. unfortunately, tecla returns, frail, older woman, can t summon grown ragorlang. tecla brainwashed magical girl named erin, making believe guardians ragorlangs , fault brother, kader, went missing. @ first, erin uses magic make girls hate each other while posing exchange student.the guardians helped find brother despite hate her.

this saga introduced strange optometrist, named folkner, stationed himself in sheffield monitor students health. guardians found out s ragorlang hunter wishes hunt down tecla ibsen. later regain full power due leaked magics kandrakar , attacked guardians new pact of ragorlangs. despite being able use shadow heart against guardians, defeated when last of ragorlangs absorbed box created folkner. obsessed dark power, folkner unleashed powers , became supreme ragorlang himself. later killed guardians , sucked own ragorlang box @ end of saga, , karl , tecla both accepted congregation of kandrakar after admitting mistakes.

part vii: new power

the guardians must face ancient enemy – dark mother. once meter queen of spring , made flowers bloom beneath feet. when became corrupted, transformed dark mother , attacked kandrakar. defeated elemental queens of water, fire , air , cast dark void continued wait patiently in chains until released. in silence, dark mother sent seed , planted within kandrakar, serve infiltrator against fortress of light. 5 guardians receive new powers, making them more powerful , giving them new , far greater abilities on 5 elements. matt serves new trainer , mentor after being recruited oracle prepare them upcoming battle against dark mother. 1 one, guardians found root of elements , obtained full control on new , stronger abilities. meanwhile, dark mother escaped (thanks will) , set off take on kandrakar. tree, had planted beforehand, dark mother enslaved minds of kandrakar, except yan lin. guardians later faced in 1 last battle , dark mother sealed in stone tomb. oracle himerish relinquished place former guardian of air, yan lin, foresaw coming threat , left without saying goodbye.

part viii: teach 2 witch

the guardians must find , teach magical people of heatherfield how control new abilities. oracle yan lin assisted them giving them new weapons strengthen , magnify powers , abilities key w.i.t.c.h. van, special on-the-road-school houses 5 magical laboratories connected each guardians elements, personalities, , skills. kandor, member of congregation sent new bus driver , care-taker. meanwhile, new enemy watching every move: foreman takeda ceo , scientist of takeshita inc. takeda vowed destroy magic because believed responsible daughter s illness. mariko, eldest daughter, discovered fast world , mind trapped there. takeda enlisted of liam, mysterious boy mariko met in fast world , fell in love, spy on guardians , ordered him kidnap s little brother. using liam , william bait, takeda lured guardians lair , used cold technologies trap guardians fast world forever . however, plan thwarted youngest daughter, shinobu, saw father s cruelty , had him frozen own robotic minions.

while looking liam , william in fast world, guardians encounter malicious ruler arkaam, white queen, wished rule of fast world under tyranny , possessed deep desire kill black queen. revealed identity of black queen mariko s conscious , shinobu s sister. in confusing of escape, liam killed white queen after stabbed him sword. although successful in bringing william back, , friends horrified white queen , army had followed them world. in last battle, invading white queen , army dissipated guardians powerful sound frequency. after hearing mariko s accusation , shinobu s forgiveness, takeda forgot vendetta , rejoined family.

part ix: 100% witch

starting issue #97 of previous saga, each issue has own story. guardians face daily problems families, friends, , school. stories ranged facing first day of returning sheffield institute finding out more both of parents pasts , abilities. @ same time, must face several new enemies wanted destroy them. many of these villains included runics, group of 5 evil wizards control dark powers of elements; , nihila, queen of darkness desire weave , control s destinies magical loom. series introduced new missions guardians must assist beings of natural worlds; listening voice of earth helping mareeve, saarineen, avoid marrying king of sharks, orristurr. later on, stories ranged dean s parents returning hay lin , family celebrating chinese new year.
