the result announced on 8 november. counting of evms of 14 assembly constituencies of patna district done in college patna. nota option had 9 lakhs, or 2.5%, of popular votes , highest had achieved in bihar elections. number of yadav mlas increased 61 in bihar assembly.

results showed that, of 53 seats won bjp, 27 urban areas, signified bjp had dramatically shrunk traditional urban support base in bihar. bjp failed make big impact in rural areas of bihar, has 1 of lowest urbanisation rate. 11.3% of population of bihar lives in urban areas, lowest in india after himachal pradesh.
