the first written mention of settlement comes 1383.


war events

during march 1938 4 of 5 villages form municipality occupied , annected nazi germany, becoming integral part of third reich. rest of czech lands occupied year after, forming protectorate of bohemia , moravia in 1939. protectorate included last part of municipality, hůrka village. jewish population of municipality fled or murdered during holocaust, while german population expulsed after world war ii , villages repopulated migrants czechoslovakia, ucraine , romania.

catastrophic floods in 2009

on night of june 24–25, 2009, village hit sudden flood caused consecutive series of violent cloudbursts. 3 people killed , caused extensive damage. jesenik nad odra area in czech republic affected these floods.

in 2013, village received honorary title of village of year given successful care municipality.
