the national society human rights (nshr) implements international human rights charters signed saudi arabia, , includes special panel monitor violations of women s rights. according resolution, society seeks protect human rights , preserve human dignity ordered allah, powerful, in qur’an: “and indeed have honoured children of adam”. seeks support rights of citizens, monitor , pursue rights established , recognized islamic sharia law , applicable regulations, , seeks protect citizens possible violations, abuses, , breaches of rights. seeks contribute international efforts , worldwide cooperation aimed @ preserving human rights. main office in riyadh, has 4 other branches in saudi arabia, located in jeddah, makkah, jizan, , east province, , working open fifth branch in aljouf. society consists of 41 founding members, 6 of whom women.

to ensure enforcement of rules of constitution , internal regulations of kingdom of saudi arabia pertaining human rights.
to ensure fulfillment of obligation of kingdom concerning issues of human rights, according contents of cairo declaration of human rights in islam, charter of united nations, , international covenants , documents of human rights.
to receive complaints , grievances, follow them competent entities, , verify claims regarding violations , abuses of human rights.
to present views , proposals governmental , non-governmental bodies teaching , dissemination of information in field of human rights.
to handle human rights issues dealt international bodies, in general, , non-governmental international organizations, in particular.
to study international covenants , documents of international human rights , applications.
to conduct international, regional, , local conferences, symposia, , courses pertaining human rights.

functions of general assembly
the general assembly performs , undertakes following duties , tasks:
the executive council
the executive council consists of 9 members including president , vice presidents. membership period of council 4 years subject renewal. in case vacancy occurs reason, replacement shall assigned decision of general assembly fill such vacancy, in order complete period of predecessor. executive council manages work of society in manner achieves goals society established provided in constitution. in particular, executive council may carry out following:
