aldridge creek greenway

aldridge creek greenway 103.55 acre greenway consisting of 4.25-mile-long (6.84 km) walking , biking trail in south huntsville runs along aldridge creek connecting ken johnston park ditto landing , tennessee river. greenway runs north along aldridge creek main trailhead 1.25 miles sidewalk on west side of bailey cove road north of country lane drive , south entrance of ditto landing, 3.5 miles. address of park 1100 mountain gap road @ ken johnston park west of bailey cove road. parking available on south end of greenway @ ditto landing , additional parking located behind challenger school on chaney thompson road.

the city had planned continue greenway north connect atwood linear park greenway. however, valley hill country club not allow city expand greenway through golf course. city has plans construct future segments of greenway current north terminus east end of esslinger road.

atwood linear park greenway

atwood linear park greenway 0.9-mile-long (1.4 km) trail connects jones family park valley hill country club. trail muti-use walking , biking trail runs along atwood drive in jones valley area of southeast huntsville. parking available @ jones family park on north side of 4 mile post road.

big cove creek greenway

big cove creek greenway 53-acre greenway in southeast huntsville s hampton cove subdivision runs along big cove creek north south of caldwell lane. there multipurpose walking , biking trail 2.86 miles (4.60 km) long connects flint river greenway hampton cove community. city of huntsville plans extend greenway north monte sano mountain , connect existing arrowhead trail.

flint river greenway

the flint river greenway 1 of newest greenways in city of huntsville. located in southeast huntsville in hampton cove subdivision. currently, there 1.87-mile-long (3.01 km) walking , biking trail connecting old 431 big cove creek greenway in hays nature preserve parking available. city of huntsville plans extend greenway south along flint river connect tennessee river greenway.

when completed, greenway 36.0 miles (57.9 km) long , contain canoe launch sites spaced throughout length of greenway.

gateway greenway

gateway greenway 0.6 miles (0.97 km) long trail connects veterans park pratt avenue in downtown huntsville. parking available along meridian street.

indian creek greenway

indian creek greenway series of greenways make 3.77 miles (6.07 km) of walking , biking trails in west huntsville. north section of greenway located in providence subdivision off of university drive. larger, south section of greenway, 2.95 miles (4.75 km) long, runs creekwood park old madison pike west of cummings research park. parking available @ trail heads @ creekwood park , off old madison pike east of slaughter road.

little cove road greenway

little cove road greenway made of 5.04 miles (8.11 km) long trail connects big cove creek greenway north flint river in southeast huntsville. greenway travels along little cove road/eastern bypass/old hwy 431.

tennessee river greenway

the tennessee river greenway connects aldridge creek greenway @ ditto landing in south huntsville , adds additional 0.93 miles (1.50 km) of walking , biking trail runs along tennessee river. greenway connects ditto landing madison county marina. parking available @ ditto landing. city of huntsville plans extend greenway south along river , end @ flint river, connect flint river greenway.

wade mountain greenway

in north huntsville lies 5.5 miles (8.9 km) of greenway known wade mountain greenway 1 mile (1.6 km) of paved trail , 4.375 miles (7.041 km) unpaved hiking trail.
