the club s publication, monthly anthology , boston review, or magazine of polite literature, , had contributors including john quincy adams, daniel webster, , many scholars. however, death of emerson in 1811, anthology ceased publication. famous north american review, started bimonthly publication in 1815, under direction of anthology club, considered revival of earlier magazine.
