ten days after leaving grimsby town, beharall on move again, time oldham athletic on loan deal end of season. beharall made dèbut in 0–0 draw against stoke city on 21 november 2001. played 17 league games, 2 fa cup , 2 football league trophy matches during loan spell @ oldham, scoring 1 goal in 89th minute in 1–1 draw against wigan athletic on 15 december 2001. beharall bought oldham athletic on 6 march 2002 £150,000 on three-year contract after impressing during loan deal. david played 1 more league game latics during 2001–02 season against wigan on 9 march, match wigan won 1–0. in 2002–03 season beharall played 32 league, 4 league , 3 fa cup games oldham under management of iain dowie, replaced mick wadsworth in summer of 2002. in pre-season of 2003–04 season, suffered injury left him out of action until october 2003. during time in august 2003 beharall victim of carjacking when , team mate adam griffin attacked when stopped @ cash machine beharall leaving grffin in passenger seat , £21,000 mercedes-benz r230 car parked @ texaco garage in oldham. griffin left defenseless 1 of attackers holding him @ knifepoint , man hit griffin s left arm iron bar, dragging , throwing griffin ground. beharall left wallet , mobile phone in car relieved , griffin ok. during 2003–2004 season beharall played 7 league, 2 fa cup , 2 football league games, scored 2 league goals against plymouth argyle on 1 november 2003. after playing 6 league games during 2004–05 season new manager brian talbot, beharall left club on 24 january 2005 after agreeing settlement figure.


carlisle united

nine days after leaving oldham, beharall joined carlisle united, him signing contract until july 2006. first time in career played non-league club. beharall made debut club in 2–2 draw against gravesend & northfleet on 12 february 2005. in 2004–2005 season. beharall part of carlisle s return football league, playing 14 matches (3 of these being playoff matches) , playing 1 fa trophy match. scored 1 conference goal, in 2–1 win @ farnborough town on 2 april 2005. beharall s pre-season preparations ruined injury made him miss start of carlisle s season, mri scan revealed had not suffered tear of major knee ligaments. when returned injury in october 2005, beharall played 6 league , 2 football league trophy matches. of these appearances came in october , november. however, lack of opportunities, beharall left carlisle mutual consent on 1 february 2006.


stockport county

after being released carlisle, beharall decided join league 2 strugglers stockport county until end of 2005–06 season, after playing in reserve match county prior move, had high hopes of saving club relegation , hoped impress county manager jim gannon enough earn new contract following season. beharall made début county in 2–1 away victory against chester city. beharall played 11 league games during 2005–06 stockport , starting contract negotiations managed jim gannon, in may 2006 beharall retired due ongoing bad knee injury.
