sr 252 begins @ acute intersection sr 39 (maury river road) east of maury river near rockbridge baths. state highway heads northeast two-lane brownsburg turnpike, passes through village of brownsburg. sr 252 veers north @ sr 606 (raphine road), leads historic kennedy-wade mill, , follows moffatts creek augusta county, highway becomes middlebrook road. state highway follows creek northeast through village of newport headwaters. moffatts creek s source south of middlebrook @ drainage divide between james river watershed , shenandoah river watershed. sr 252 has partial cloverleaf interchange sr 262 (woodrow wilson parkway), circumferential highway around staunton, before entering independent city. state highway follows middlebrook avenue downtown area, passes under csx s north mountain subdivision. sr 262 turns north onto lewis street, east onto beverley street, one-way street carries eastbound sr 254. westbound sr 254 follows frederick street 1 block north. sr 252 , sr 254 run concurrently 2 blocks east sr 252 s northern terminus @ augusta street, hosts eastbound 250 , southbound 11 business. westbound 250 , northbound 11 business accessed @ new street 1 block east.
