the m60 avlb based on m60 patton tank chassis, instead of tank s gun turret, equipped bridge launcher integrated chassis , mounted on top. when emplaced, bridge capable of supporting tracked , wheeled vehicles military load bearing capacity class 70. bridge can retrieved either end. roadway width of avlb 12 feet 6 inches (3.81 m). during deployments, bridge emplacement can accomplished in 2 minutes, , retrieval can accomplished in 10 minutes under armor protection.
