the army physical fitness uniform (apfu) consists of:

shirts: black long-sleeve , short-sleeve shirts gold army lettering on front. physical fitness badge may worn soldiers excel @ a.p.f.t (270 or higher, 90 in each event).
shorts: black same gold army lettering on left leg. multipurpose: can worn alone swimming , exercise, worn shirts or under black trousers.
pants: black army star logo on left thigh.
jacket: black gold chevron across chest , , same army star logo on left chest. physical fitness badge can worn on well.
socks: commercial calf-length or ankle-length, plain white or black socks no logos.
shoes: approved, well-fitting, comfortable running shoes. no five-toed shoes allowed.
black micro fleece cap , black gloves: optional inclement weather.
