as of december 2015 marine parks , reserves unit has mandate of 3 marine parks , 15 marine reserves on mainland. marine reserve area allocated towards preservation of coastal , marine biodiversity. fishing , in habitation in marine reserve prohibited , limited entry such tourism , research permitted. while marine park special version of reserve various community users , habitation encouraged. however, highly regulated , continuous education of community provided ensure longevity of fauna.
