from 9 july 2010 12 may 2011, tireless undertook ten-month deployment, spending 253 days @ sea, longest conducted royal navy submarine in ten years. during deployment boat passed through suez canal first time, provided protection french aircraft carrier charles de gaulle launching aircraft on afghanistan, , called ports of fujairah in united arab emirates, goa in india , souda bay in crete. tireless involved in multi-nation anti-submarine exercise in gulf of oman saw australian frigate hmas melbourne , french frigate fs dupleix attempt locate submarine.
