Conference membership changes 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season

the 2014–15 season saw final wave of membership changes resulting major realignment of ncaa division conferences. cycle began in 2010 big ten , then-pac-10 publicly announcing intentions expand. fallout these conferences moves later affected majority of d-i conferences.



this final season texas–pan american (utpa) under name. @ start of 2015–16 school year, utpa merged university of texas @ brownsville form new university of texas rio grande valley (utrgv). utpa s athletic program , wac membership inherited utrgv.


it final season northern kentucky in atlantic sun conference (a-sun) , final season njit independent. on may 11, 2015, announced northern kentucky join horizon league effective july 1. a-sun filled place left northern kentucky, announcing on june 12 njit become member effective on july 1.
